Portal-specific domains let you create distinct branded URLs for different audiences or purposes.

Only Admins and Content Managers can configure Portal custom domains.

Custom domains are only available on the Business and Enterprise plans.

When to use Portal domains

  • Partner portals - partners.acme.com

  • Regional content - uk.acmebrand.com or eu.acmebrand.com

  • Client-specific portals - clientname.acmedesign.com

  • Campaign landing pages - summer2024.acmebrand.com

Setting up a Portal domain

  1. Open the Share settings for a Portal

  2. Click Setup a custom domain

  3. Enable the custom domain option

  4. Enter your subdomain

  5. Save

Close the modal to go back to the Share settings. You will see that the preview link has been updaed with the custom url.

Using a fully custom domain

If you would like to use your own domain (e.g., brand.acme.com), please refer to our Fully Custom Domains guide for setup instructions. You can configure multiple custom domains for different Portals as needed.

How it works with Space domains

  • Team members that are logged in will remain on the Space domain

  • One of your portals can share a domain with your space. This is considered your default portal and will be the landing page your your space.

Multiple Portals, multiple domains

Each Portal can have its own custom domain:

  • partners.yourcompany.com β†’ Partner Portal

  • press.yourcompany.com β†’ Press Portal

  • brand.yourcompany.com β†’ Brand Guidelines Portal
