Often times you’ll need an asset to be a specific size and in a particular format in order to use the asset. In Lingo, resizing and converting files is quick and easy.
These features are available on all plans both on the web and in the Mac app.
Export Presets
Lingo automatically converts files into different file types so you can use them with just a click. The different export presets can be found in the "Use" section of the Inspector Panel located on the right.
Note that the presets will vary for different file types and may be customized using export controls.
Custom Exports
To download a file at a size and type not listed in the presets, the last option allows selecting a custom export. Simply select the file type and the dimension you need the asset to be and you’re all set!
The size field accepts a number of different formats, for example:
500w - export at 500px wide
500h - export at 500px high
500x500 - fit the image in a 500x500px box, maintaining aspect ratio
2x - export at twice the size
500 - fit the longest side to 500px
Keep in mind you can only use Custom Exports to resize raster file types - PNG's, JPG's and TIFF's.
If you don't see the custom export options, it is possible that it has been turned off for the asset using export controls.
