It’s a common use case for customers to need to distribute their design language to their ENTIRE organization. Lingo’s Brand Portal functionality makes this simple and secure. This feature allows people who are not members of your Lingo team to access your workspace by clicking on a single link.

Important note - Brand Portal is only available to customers in Lingo’s enterprise tier.

Setting up your Brand Portal

Lingo’s Enterprise customers will see a Brand portal section on their Settings page. To set up your Brand Portal simply toggle the feature on. You can then control which Kits will appear in your portal by selecting “Manage kits”. Finally you have the option to make your portal open to the public or you can password protect your portal.

⚠️ Important note about Kit access inside a portal ⚠️

The access settings of your portal (public or password protected) will affect how people access the kits inside your portal - read more below.

If your portal is password protected then:

  • Anyone in the portal can open a public kit placed in the portal.

  • Anyone in the portal can open a password protected kit placed in the portal. In other words the portal password will override the kit password.

  • Anyone in the portal can open a private kit placed in the portal.

If your portal is public then:

  • Anyone in the portal can open a public kit placed in the portal.

  • People will need to enter the kit password in order to access a password protected kit placed in the portal.

  • People will need to login in order to access a private kit placed in the portal.

Sharing your brand portal.

You can share your brand portal with a single link. This link will be listed on your Settings page under the Brand portal section. Keep in mind, if you want to see how your portal would look to someone who is not a member of your Lingo team, you’ll need to open your portal link in an incognito browser window.
