Finding and Managing Products

Learn how to browse, search, and filter the product list in Lingo, and how to duplicate, archive, and delete products.

Written by Edward Boatman

The Products section is where all of your products live. It's the main list you'll come back to for finding a product, opening it to make changes, and keeping your catalog organized over time.

The product list

Open Products from the main navigation to see All Products in your space. Each row shows:

  • Name and Type

  • Options, Variants, and Markets

  • Date added and Date updated

Click any column header to sort. You can resize columns by dragging their edges, and double-click an edge to fit the column to its content.

Select any product to open its detail page, where you can view and edit all of its field values, manage its options and variants, and see the Assets linked to it.

Browsing by product type

The Product Types section of the navigation lists your product types with a count of the products in each. Select one to see only products of that type in an editable table.

By default the list shows only types that have products. Use the gear button next to Product Types to show all types, or to manage them.

Searching and filtering

Use the search box to find products by name.

To narrow the list further, select Add filter and choose:

  • Status — Active or Archived

  • Product Type

  • Market — if your space uses markets

  • More Fields — any custom field, grouped by product type

Each field filter offers options that fit its type. For example, text fields can be filtered by "Contains", "Has any value", or "Has no value", and number and date fields can be filtered by comparisons like "Greater than" or "Between".

Active filters appear as pills above the list, and you can clear them individually or all at once. When a filter matches particular variants, those variants appear under the product's name — for example "/ Red / L".

Product status

Products can be set to one of two statuses:

  • Active — the product is live and accessible

  • Archived — the product is hidden from default views but not deleted

Archiving is useful for products that are discontinued or temporarily out of use. The product's data is preserved, so you can restore it later if you need it again.

Archiving a product also updates its variants: any variant that was Available is set to Retired. Unarchiving reverses this, returning those variants to Draft — variants that were Hidden stay Hidden either way. See Working with Variants and Options for more on variant availability.

Archiving a product also means it's no longer available to Channels. Channels that carry it will show its variants as Retired.

Duplicating, archiving, and deleting

Hover over a product in the list and open its menu (or right-click it) to:

  • Edit Product — open the product

  • Duplicate Product — create a copy to use as a starting point

  • Archive Product or Restore Product

  • Delete Product

You can find the same actions in the Actions menu on the product page.

Deleting a product removes it from any Kits it appears in, and can't be undone. If you might need the product again, archive it instead.

You can select several products to delete them together. Archiving and duplicating are done one product at a time.
