Here's how Lingo billing works and what to expect each cycle.

Monthly vs annual billing

Monthly billing - You're charged on the same date each month (e.g., the 15th of every month).

Annual billing - You're charged once per year on your subscription anniversary. Annual plans typically offer a discount compared to monthly pricing.

When charges occur

Regular billing - Your card is charged automatically at the start of each billing cycle.

Mid-cycle upgrades - If you upgrade mid-cycle, you'll be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current period.

Mid-cycle downgrades - Downgrades will apply a credit for unused time, which will be applied to your next billing cycle.

Viewing your billing date

Check your next billing date in:

  1. Billing page

  2. Look for "Renews on"

Changing your billing cycle

To switch from monthly and annual billing:

  1. Go to Billing settings

  2. Next to your current plan, click Change to annual billing

  3. Confirm the change

You can also change your billing interval by clicking change plan and selecting the desired plan and billing interval.

Switching to annual billing may result in immediate charges for the full year.

Failed payments

If a payment fails:

  1. Lingo will retry the charge

  2. You'll receive email notifications

  3. After multiple failures, your Space may be paused

  4. Update your payment method to restore access
