Kit privacy settings determine who can view your Kit and its contents.

Only Admins and Content Managers can change Kit access settings.

Access levels

  • Public - Anyone with the link can access.

  • Password protected - Anyone with the password can view.

  • Private - Only invited team members can access.

Changing privacy settings

  1. Open your Kit

  2. Select the Share button

You can change access at any time:

  • Making a private Kit public will instantly allow access to anyone with the link

  • Making a public Kit private immediately restricts access

  • Changing passwords invalidates the old password

Public Kits

Best for broad distribution:

  • Anyone with the link can view

  • No login or password required

  • Consider what content you're sharing publicly

Password-protected Kits

After enabling public access for a kit, you can optionally set a password. This will still allow people to access the kit without an account but they will need to enter the password.

Best for controlled external sharing:

  • Share with clients or partners

  • No account required for visitors

  • Change the password anytime

Private Kits

Best for internal team resources:

  • Only Space members with access can view

  • Requires login to access

  • Full control over who sees content

How Kit and Portal settings work together

When a Kit is added to a Portal the Portal's access settings may take precedence:

  • If a portal is public, a Kit's privacy settings still apply (i.e., private Kits remain private).

  • If a portal is password protected, the portal password grants access to all Kits within it. (even private kits)

  • If a portal is private, any team member added to the portal will be able to access all kits within it.
