Every Lingo Space has exactly one Owner—the person with full control over billing, subscription settings, and the ability to delete the Space. If you need to hand off these responsibilities to someone else, you can transfer ownership to any Admin on your team.
Only the Owner can transfer Space ownership.
Before you transfer
Make sure the person you're transferring to:
Is already an Admin — You can only transfer ownership to existing Admins. If they're not an Admin yet, change their role first.
Is ready for billing responsibility — The new Owner will manage payment methods, invoices, and subscription changes.
How to transfer ownership
Click the Credit Card icon in the left rail to open the Billing page
Select the Payments tab
Click the overflow (•••) button
Select Transfer Ownership
Select the Admin you want to transfer ownership to
Confirm the transfer
Once confirmed, the transfer happens immediately. You'll become an Admin, and the new Owner will have full control.
What changes after transfer
The new Owner can:
Manage billing and payment methods
Change the subscription plan
Delete the Space
Do everything Admins can do
The former Owner becomes an Admin:
You keep full access to all content and settings
You can still manage team members and permissions
You lose access to billing and subscription settings
Can I get ownership back?
Only the current Owner can transfer ownership. If you need it back, ask the new Owner to transfer it to you following the same steps above.
